With our Nd:YAG Millennium PerioLase laser we are able to offer a number of treatments, including the Laser-assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP) for periodontal disease therapy.

When used along the inside of a diseased gum pocket, the laser targets and vaporizes periodontal bacteria and creates an environment where new, healthy bone and tissue can regenerate, thus repairing the damage caused by the gum disease process. Because this procedure is accomplished entirely through the gum pocket, no blades or stitches are needed, and healing is quick.

Because of its precision and hemostatic properties, the laser can also be used for gum recontouring, biopsies, and esthetic crown lengthening procedures, and it is excellent for patients who take blood-thinning medications such as Plavix or Coumadin.
